"Her arrival yesterday brought hope to the victims of floods, especially from Lamontville." "We thank her for deploying a team from the Emergency Housing Unit. This team has been working with the Roving Team from the Department." Below are important interventions as announced by the Minister:- ●225 people from Ward 74 in Lamontville have been accommodated at Impala Hotel; ●About 229 families from Lamontville will finally have permanent homes built for them in a land that belongs to eThekwini Municipality in Georgedale, near Hammarsdale. Temporary Residential Unit will be built for them whilst permanent houses are being constructed. ●93 households will be supplied with building material. Today, the Minister will visit KwaMakhutha and then proceed to Ugu District Municipality.
