Anti-Fraud and Corruption
Fraudulent activities include scams where the Department’s name and logo have been used to defraud unsuspecting people, especially housing suppliers and contractors. In most of the illicit acts that have been brought to the attention of the Department, the fraudsters have used what appears to be the Department’s official logo, bearing the contact details of people not employed by the Department.
In order not to fall prey to this scam and to stop its spread, suppliers and contractors are urged to do the following:
- Verify order numbers and contact details with the Department
- Deliver goods only to the Department’s offices.
